Is it an easy thing being a friend?
Morning walks, midnight talks - always intent.

Having the time to be there and just be,
always together and still feeling free.

Finding the answer for questions unasked.
Radiant beauty while being unmasked.

Smiles, while the others are tearing their hair,
loving the closest one's "crazy" affair.

Giving caressing support just in time,
calm and convinced - no need to mime.

Being aware of the changes' effect,
treating the friend with the highest respect.

Jokes in the times of deepest despair,
showing detachment and love are still there.

Sharing one's open and hidden intents.
Fences of silence do seldom make sense.

Trouble and easiness go hand in hand.
But who does without it, without a true friend?
